Tasks:

  • Define manufacturing instructions and material specifications.
  • Prepare laboratory and qualification material test plans.
  • Evaluate test results.
  • Create relevant technical documentation: test reports and memorandums.
  • Perform material tests in-house and DSC analysis.
  • Guide production staff members during manufacturing activities in order to ensure that processes are properly followed.
  • Supervise manufacturing of test coupons.
  • Responsible for supporting stress and production departments in topics related to composite materials.
  • Assess concessions and repairs.
  • Communicate with suppliers and test houses.

 

Requirements:

  • Solid experience with composite manufacturing (glass/carbon fiber wet laminate is a plus).
  • Experience with metallic materials and surface protection is a plus.
  • Highly engaged person, able to work autonomously, with a great sense of initiative, credibility and integrity.
  • Energetic personality, with a goal-oriented working style and demonstrated analytical problem solving skills.
  • Flexible worker, prepared to support and act in other functions across the organization.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • German is highly valued.
  • Degree in materials engineering or similar (Ph.D./ M. Sc. is a plus).
  • A minimum of 7 years engineering experience in the Materials & Processes field.
